Get on "The List" for our Milton & Mississauga Skills Centres Opening This Fall
Periodized Training
Throughout indoor season, your child will have the opportunity to learn and experience all four moments of the game.
Each game moment will be covered at training ground, as well as our LMS Game iQ in 4 week cyles. This structured approach ensures a comprehensive understanding of the game, allowing your child to develop their skills, positional understanding and awareness effectively.
This program is designed to enhance players' competencies in their technical and tactical aspects of the game, focusing on:
Attacking Organization (AO).
This game moment occurs when the team has ball possession, and is organized to attack. (The How!).
Defending Transition (DT).
This game moment occurs when the team has lost ball possession, and begins to transition to delay the opponent's attack. (The How!).
Defending Organization (DO).
This game moment occurs when the team organizes it's defensive structure to regain possession. (The How!).
Attacking Transition (AT).
This game moment occurs when the team has regain ball possession, and begins to transition the attack. ((The How!).
Each week will build upon the previous one, developing both technical skills and tactical understanding throughout our training sessions.
Your child will have access to the Academy's LMS Game iQ (Learning Management System), where she/he will have access to visual aids, motion graphics, pitch geography and orientation, quizzes, individual and group challenges and tasks to further help all athletes in their development.
As children advance through our program, they engage weekly within our Learning Management System LMS Game iQ, to visualize what they are working on, areas of the pitch for their positional role, tactical principles in or out of possession, and much more.
The following video contains an example of the clarity we provide to all athletes within the academy:
